2013 Goooooooooooals!!!

Pin It In addition to making monthly goals, here are my goals for 2013:

1. Be a good Mom. This includes giving my best to my baby, and not worrying about how clean the house is or how often I blog.

Hahahah okay fine. I never worry about how clean my house is.

Well.. shit.
2. Get out there. Becoming a Mom has made me think about all the things I'd like my child to do. This includes music classes, swimming lessons, joining sports teams, and tons of outdoor activities including playing in the snow, tobogganing, playing in the park, playing street hockey, etc. I'd like to do lots of outdoor workouts- like running, HIIT, TRX, rollerblading, beach volleyball and cycling.

3. Set a half marathon PR. This may be really pushing it, but I'd like to set a new PR this spring as I attempt my 5th half-marathon, my first since birthing a human. I'd also like to continue to participate in 5k, 10k, and 10 mile races!

4. Chill out on cheat day. Cheat day does not include polishing off pizza, cinnamon sticks, a bag of chocolate, diet coke, and more chocolate. Chill out, Katy. Eating clean is where it's at.

5. Keep killing it HIIT style. One of my favourite things about blogging has been coming up with new HIIT workouts. I do these workouts myself, and use them in my fitness classes. They WORK and I will continue to bring them to you, peeps!

6. Keep it real. I started blogging because I found too many blogs were unattainable, unrealistic, or boring as F.

7. Get organized about eating. I am a freak when it comes to eating- I like to know where my next meal is coming and what it entails. Sundays are great to get yo' sh*t together: grocery shop, chop your fruits and veggies, portion control, and COOK. I am obsessed with my slow cooker and want to find more easy, clean meals to make.

There it is, peeps! What are YOUR 2013 goals? How are you going to meet them?

  1. To work on me and to BE HAPPY! Life is too short and I need to explore more, travel more, and put myself out there. It's time to just freaking do it. Happy New Year to you too! XOXO

  2. I want to be an organized eater too!! That's a great way of putting it... I'm usually really bad at it and just throw shit together which usually always results in raw cucumber and tomatoes plus leftover meat.. boring as F lol!

  3. I have been organizing my eating for about 2 years now. I am a full time teacher and have a 1.5 hour commute. I then work afterschool 3 days a week. I work out every morning at 5am. So, Sundays, I plan and make my breakfasts, lunches and sometimes dinners (to be eaten in the car). This way, every morning I just grab enough for the day and out the door I go. Then, I always know what I am eating and will not resort to fast food or sweets. Sometimes, I get tired of doing it once Sunday rolls around, but I am glad once the morning arrives.

  4. Please get yourself a Chariot (http://www.chariotcarriers.com) in time for baby's 6 month birthday. This is not a shill, I just use the heck out of ours... I wouldn't be able to be active without it; and by active I mean running, biking and cross-country skiing (proof: http://ironrogue.blogspot.ca/search/label/Chariot%20Cougar).

Can't wait for the next HIIT workout!
