About Me

My Photo
I am a momma-to-be, a teacher, fitness/yoga instructor, runner, celebrity stalker, chocolate lover, embarrassing dancer, wine guzzler, can't-live-without-my-girlfriends kind of girl. I also have a collection of high heels that strongly outweighs my collection of runners. My goal is to find balance in my life through health and exercise- and when I say balance, I mean kicking ass in the gym and enjoying food, wine, family, friends, and basking in celebrity news. Let's eat clean and do some craaahaaayzy workouts together... followed by a glass of wine.

Chocolate, Wine, Shoes. Uh-Huh.

Pin It Best 24 hours of my life. All took place within a 20 km radius of my beauty little town called Toronto.

1. Farmer's Market.

I realize when you think "Farmer's Market", you think fruits and vegetables, not cookies and wine. Welcome to my world.
RIDICULOUSly amazing cookies.

Local wine from a Canadian celebrity. I know what you're thinking. "Who the hell is Dan Aykroyd?" I digress.

Fresh English Muffins, Ontario raspberries, nectarines, lettuce, beets, carrots, tomaters, and peppers...

...Right. And those cookies.
 2. Green Eggplant with my life partner.

That's right. My life partner.

Grilled vegetable chicken hummus wrap and salad. AH. MAZE.

Pesto chicken goat cheese focaccia, hot woman, bellini. Perfection.
3. Early morning boardwalk run.

I have no photos, but you better believe me.

4. Titika.

I went in to get my giveaway Winner's Cut Out Bra... and walked out with 4 things. Damn you, Titika! Why must you be so amazing. My favourite piece:

It's called the GLAMOUR JACKET. I simply HAD to have it. I got it in green, so you could be green with envy.
I also got a pair of WORKOUT JEGGINGS. That's right. They're leggings. But they look like jeans. And you can wear them to work out. I don't know what's more ridiculous: the fact that these exist, or the fact that I bought them.

5. Wickerhead Chocolate.

It's Carter's Granny's birthday tomorrow, so I HAD to get her some chocolate. And I HAD to sample some, and get some for myself. You feel me, right?

You had me at cocoa.
6. Nike Store.

Meet my new friends.
7. Eating Break.

Mini english muffin pizzas with tomatoes and peppers. Hungry man lashes out with tongue.
8. More shopping. To be shared at a later date. Let's just say I fell in love with a photo, and some drapes. I know what you're thinking: God, you are old.

9. More Eating.

Oh, right. And drinking too.

The smallest pitcher known to man.

I am not even a wing person, but these wings are sooooo good at Murphy's Law. We ordered wings to share, and they brought us ALL FLATS!!!! Heavenly!!!!!
10. Coffee.

Yes, yes you are remarkable.
11. Losing my Fox virginity.

Be gentle.
Horrible Bosses = HILARIOUS. I admittedly have terrible taste in movies (recall my favourite is Ace Ventura: Pet Detective) but you want to see this movie. I'm still clapping.

Not pictured: Eating an entire bag of sour Skittles even though my tongue was raw halfway through the bag.

12. Running off the Skittles in my new kicks.

No, I didn't douse myself in water. That's sweat.
13. Wishing this post was funnier.

Tell me something amazing about YOUR city!!!
The other day I saw a small man riding a unicycle down the street yelling "FREE LINDSAY!" (I can only assume he meant Lindsay Lohan). I love Toronto.

  1. Um ok best day ever. The pic of you with the bellini - most attractive face I have ever seen. I want some cookies. And your Nike shoes. Where in the world did you get them? Nike on Bloor? PS I love Carter and his little pitcher. So damn cute that little man. Give him a hug for me. And tell him I did his 30 for 30 the other day and my ass hurt for about 3 days after. Burn so good.

  2. The only thing wrong with this picture is the pitcher (too small... waaaay too small).

  3. Horrible Bosses is hilarious, I'm with you on that one! Eau Claire is a pretty small city, but I do love that we still have a budget theater that you can go see a movie for $2.50! They are normally the movies that just come out of the big theaters too!

  4. Wow. In Toronto you can buy like, three gummy worms for $2.50 at the movies.

  5. Cape Town has beach and mountains which is pretty spectacular. We also have amazing and cheap wine, which makes it all too easy to enjoy daily. Also, you can have a summer Christmas if you are into that sort of thing.

Is that a bellini? Biggest bellini ever. That may be the most amazing thing about Toronto.

  12. What a great weekend!!!!! Well, I live in Chicago and we have a guy that juggles while he runs in our neighborhood (Bucktown/Wicker Park). He's awesome at it, but it's crazy!

  13. Looks like an awesome time! I'm confused by the size of that pitcher, but a little beer still beats no beer, right? :)

  14. Whoa! Wait a minute! I love Ace Ventura Pet Detective!! One of my all time favorites. It still makes me pee my pants and I STILL quote Jim Carrey to this day. I know, I'm a loser.

I loved Horrible Bosses too. My abs were sore from laughing after that one.

My city is pretty awesome because it's a beach town and there is a man that goes by the name of Slow-Mo that rollerblades up and down the boardwalk in Mission Beach EVERY SINGLE DAY, ALL DAY with music playing. He looks like a 90 year old figure skater. No matter what day it is, you will see him out there.

  17. So, I love this day (days?) and I need to have one exactly like it.

Is Titika the new Lulu?! I cannot WAIT to get my sports bra!!

Also to satisfy (or make worse) your shoe/candy obsession, feast your eyes on this beautiful, beautiful post: http://cupcakesandcashmere.com/foot-candy/

PPS- My company has an office in Toronto and I'm currently begging them to send me out there for "meetings" so we can drink wine and eat chocolate and go shoe shopping and exercise clothing shopping the entire time.

Oh also, SF is pretty awesome - you should probably come visit. The wine and chocolate selection (hello Napa Valley and Ghiardelli!) is unparalleled.

  18. WOW - so when I come visit Toronto, you will be my tour guide right? haha that sounds like some great times!

I love the farmer's markets, and Boston has a few, but I work outside the city and by the time I get home, they are all closed :(

Oh, I wrote about Duck Boat Tours...that's cool right?
